Partners

As well as health and care organisations in England and beyond, we work closely with a number of key partners and affiliates to ensure we are at the forefront of digital health and technology.

Our partnerships and affiliates include:

Discover-NOW, the Health Data Research Hub for Real World Evidence, aims to revolutionise the way health data is used responsibly for research into treating and preventing disease.  Led by Imperial College Health Partners, the hub brings together NHS organisations, globally recognised academic, industry, technology (including Telstra Health UK), research and charity partners as well as patients and the public focussed on the use of real-world health data for research.

The hub supports access to one of the largest depersonalised linked health data sets in Europe which brings together real-world patient health data, in a safe, secure and Trusted Research Environment (TRE). This combination of data access, TRE, tools, technologies and expertise creates unrivalled opportunity in how RWE can be used to transform health and care for patients.

Telstra Health UK is one of the suppliers of comprehensive analytics to the Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) programme, a national programme led by the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Trust and NHS Improvement. We collaborate with clinicians, develop clinically relevant metrics and deliver complex analyses from patient-level data for a number of specialties in the GIRFT programme.

GIRFT is a national programme designed to improve medical care within the NHS by reducing unwarranted variations. By tackling variations in the way services are delivered across the NHS, and by sharing best practice between trusts, GIRFT identifies changes that will help improve care and patient outcomes, as well as delivering efficiencies such as the reduction of unnecessary procedures and cost savings.

Telstra Health UK maximises the benefits of being part of an international telecommunications and technology company, Telstra. We draw on their expertise in many areas but particularly with advances in technology such as the use of cloud and APIs, ensuring we are flexible and interoperable with health and care systems, to improve the way we deliver services.

Telstra is Australia’s leading telecommunications and technology company, offering a full range of communications services and competing in all telecommunications markets. It also offers a wide range of services globally including network application services and has growing interests in software, video delivery, online sales and e-Health.
