Dr Foster sale to Dorson Group creates new opportunities for data-driven improvements in NHS care

London, United Kingdom – 8 December 2025 – Telstra Health, a leading provider of digital health solutions and services, today announced the sale of Dr Foster, its UK-based healthcare analytics and benchmarking business, to Dorson Transform Ltd, led by former Secretary of State, the Rt Hon Stephen Dorrell.

Dr Foster is widely recognised for helping NHS organisations improve patient safety and operational performance through advanced benchmarking, mortality surveillance, and clinical efficiency analytics.

Dorson Transform is part of the Dorson Group, which is building a network of businesses committed to using high-quality data analytics and transformation expertise to improve healthcare. Dr Foster will work alongside  Four Eyes Insight which delivers specialist analytics for waiting list, outpatient, and diagnostics optimisation together with improved theatre productivity, and demand and capacity modelling. Dr Foster will also complement Prism Improvement, an associated company delivering care pathway optimisation in both planned and urgent care as well as system-wide strategic transformation.

With the addition of Dr Foster, Dorson Group is positioned to deliver greater value to NHS organisations, creating further opportunities to reduce waiting times, improve resource utilisation, and drive sustainable improvements in patient outcomes through deeper, data-driven insights and more data-led, board level discussions about outcomes.

As part of the transaction, the parties are looking to form a strategic partnership with the intent to introduce Telstra Health’s PowerHealth software, which is designed for healthcare and hospital costing and revenue management, to the UK market. Recognising the importance of value-based care, Telstra Health and Dorson Group will take a consulting-led approach, combining Dr Foster’s expertise with PowerHealth’s strength in costing to deliver innovative solutions for healthcare providers.
